The session will discuss the best practices on using polling during a Zoom session for participant interaction



LDT Virtual Office Hours

LDT virtual office hours allows attendees to drop in and ask questions to a member of the Learning Design and Technology team.  These are open sessions and not specific subject trainings.  Get answers to questions regarding applications such as Canvas, Kaltura, and Zoom.

This session will cover the process of sharing Zoom session recordings with students in myCourses.

Zoom: Security Settings & Recommendations

In this session, we will discuss Zoombombing and strategies to prevent it.  We will offer specific suggestions to increase the security of your class or meeting as well as what to do if you find an unwanted guest or person acting in an inappropriate manner.

Zoom: Active Learning with Zoom

Engage students remotely through Zoom using active learning activities such as a small group discussion, problem solving discussion, role playing, or hands-on activity to promote higher levels of cognitive learning.

Zoom Tools such as, Non-Verbal Feedback, White Board, Polling , Screen Sharing and Break-out Rooms are ways to transform your online environment into a collaborative learning space.

Zoom - Introduction

This is a live Zoom online introduction session that will give you a high-level overview of using the Zoom web-conferencing tool. You will learn the basics of accessing, scheduling, and hosting meetings.

Zoom Scheduling and Hosting

This session will cover the basic setup of a Zoom meeting room, available configuration options, and instructions on hosting a meeting. We will also cover the process for editing personal meeting settings.




Classroom Technology: Airmedia, Meeting Owl Pro, Zoom Capable Classrooms

In this session, we will demonstrate how to use various classroom technology. Topics covered include:

Airmedia: allows for wireless presentation of content from a laptop, smartphone, or tablet device via a WIFI wireless connection.

Owl Meeting Pro: a 360 video conference camera available in some classrooms.

This session will introduce the various options and tools available when giving an online summative assessment such as a final exam. 

Topics covered: Best practices using Canvas, Respondus Lock-down Browser, Zoom, and tests where students need to show their work (hand-written responses to questions).
