Teaching and Learning Technologies: Kaltura Personal Lecture Capture
Teaching and Learning Technologies

Kaltura Personal Lecture Capture

Academic Technology provides support and tools for lecture capture, a broad term that includes recording what happens in a traditional classroom setting, presentations, or demonstrating content for students to view outside of a normal classroom setting.

During the Spring of 2018, UNH transitioned our lecture capture services from Tegrity to tools available from Kaltura. Please come to one of our training sessions to learn more about:

  • Kaltura Capture recorder installation

  • Difference between Kaltura Capture (personal lecture capture) and Kaltura Classroom (in-class lecture capture)

  • My Media and Media Gallery in myCourses and how they work

  • Auto-generated captioning

  • Linking recordings in myCourses

This will be a hands-on demonstration of the Capture tool for personal lecture capture. You will have a chance to make your own recording, upload it and link it in your course. There will be Windows/Mac classroom computers available, pre-loaded with the software but we encourage you to bring your own laptop so that we can help guide you through the installation.
